Magnesium L-threonate, also known as magnesium threonate, is one of the least well-known forms of magnesium, and yet it may actually be the best.
Unlike other magnesium supplements, magnesium L-threonate can easily cross the blood-brain barrier; as such, it is considered a nootropic. Further, magnesium L-threonate doesn’t have digestive side effects which are problematic in other magnesium supplements.
Good magnesium L-threonate products tend to only contain magnesium L-threonate and nothing else. This is due to the bulkiness of magnesium L-threonate as it takes 2000 mg of it to get 144 mg of elemental magnesium.
